Pop Civics is a political cartoon blog. It all started one day, many moons ago. Sarah Palin was visiting North Carolina and said something glorious about the Pro-America parts of America.
Which got me thinking: what would the country look like if only the places that support Palin existed?
And just like that, I had a shiny, new hobby. Pop Civics was born.
I retooled the original cartoon, and posted it here as one of my first entries. I think my artwork has gotten slightly better since then.
My politics lean liberal/progressive. Favorite targets include: Michele Bachmann, Eric Cantor, and Sarah Palin. For the time being of course. There will always be funnier and less coherent republicans in the future. Hello, Bobby Jindal. It seems that a republican's coherence is inversely related to amount of time spent on television. I also like to hit hypocritical and dumb actions by democrats, especially corrupt ones ala Roland Burris. And then there's never a bad time for a flow chart.
Personal information: I love my dog Lucy. She loves paper. If I'm drawing, I'm also drinking a diet coke. I have a girl crush on Rachel Maddow, and listen to The Young Turks every night on my iPod. I like photography, and you can find my photos on my photoblog Philadelphia Daily Photo.
I should sleep more, and watch MSNBC less.
